Rev. David Strope
Pastor Strope has studied at Valley Forge Christian College (B.S.), Westminster Theological Seminary (M.A.R.), Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div), and the American Institute of Holy Land Studies in Jerusalem (now Jerusalem University College). He was youth pastor at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Clayton, NJ for 2 years; pastor of the Malaga and Willow Grove United Methodist Churches for 4 years; and has been the lead pastor of West Park United Methodist Church since 1990. Currently Dave is working on his doctorate at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.
Pastor Chris performed his undergraduate studies at Cairn University and graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Biblical Studies with a focus on Youth Ministry, and in August 2021, he completed a Master’s of Arts in Religion degree. He has been a part of the West Park Family since 2010, where he volunteered his time and completed his internship with the Youth Group before officially coming on staff serving as the Assistant and Youth Pastor since 2015. Pastor Chris lives in Hopewell with his wife Lauren and their two daughters Lucie Grace and Elinor (Nora) Mae.
Jodi and her husband David joined West Park Church in 2015. During that time, she has served on the SPRC, volunteered as the Prayer Pal Coordinator, acted as the West Park Liaison for Cornerstone Women’s Resource Center’s Baby Bottle Drive, and has been an active member of various ministries including West Park FIT, Sistering 4 Christ, Seasoned Moms, and West Park Women. Jodi and David have three grown children, Miranda, son-in-law Richard, David Jr., and Marissa. Jodi homeschooled all three children, taught in their homeschool co-op, and served on the co-op board. When she’s not working in the church office, you can find Jodi spending time with her family, working in her garden, sitting on the beach in Ocean City, running with her dog Molly, or riding her bike around Hopewell.
Danny received his electrical degree from Cumberland County Technical Education Center in 1999, received his firefighter certification from Gloucester County Fire Academy in 1999 and became a Fire Investigator through the Division of Criminal Justice in 2016. Over the years he has conquered many health issues and is a brain tumor survivor. Along with his wife Jenna, son Dominic and daughter Maddie, they formed Team Cyber Knives, which advocate for The National Brain Tumor Society. In 2018 they created a "Christian based Woodworking Business" Upper Room Custom Creations LLC. In 2014 he became a youth leader for West Park and is an integral part of our VBS and Technology Teams.
Director Of children ministries
Brittany attended West Park as a child/teen where she was active in our youth group. During her time in Youth Group she attended Creation, Mission trips, and served as a crew leader for Vacation Bible School. In 2018 she came back to help with Sunday school. Later she has been involved in Sistering4Christ, and the Children's Ministry planning committee. Brittany is a wife and homeschool mom to two amazing kids. During her free time she enjoys crafting, traveling, and camping with her family.
Director of Music Ministries
Karen received her Bachelor Of Science degree in Music Education from West Chester University in 1993 and her Master of Arts in Worship Studies: Music from Liberty University Theological Seminary in 2014. Since 1993 she has been employed as a music teacher for the Bridgeton Public Schools and began working with West Park in their music ministry department in 2006. She resides in Shiloh with her husband, Brett and their daughter, Anna. In addition to school and church music, Karen is active in community theater and she and Anna serve as co-chairs for West Park's Operation Christmas Child ministry.
Nick and his wife Cheryl began attending West Park in 2012. After retiring in 2014 from teaching instrumental music for 37 years in the Millville Public Schools he began working at West Park. Nick has also been involved in organizing instrumental music ensembles at West Park and is also chairman of the Board of Trustees. Nick also enjoys model trains, woodworking, and gardening and he and Cheryl are very proud of their 4 adult children and their families
